Ice Cube Trays

When we bought our latest refrigerator, about 3 years ago, I insisted on having one with an automatic ice maker. (Yes, we live in the dark ages. We also still don’t have cable tv.) That meant that I suddenly had a bunch of ice cube trays sitting around the kitchen. I didn’t toss them, and now I have the perfect way of storing leftover wine for cooking later. I’m not much of a believer in leftover wine. But some bottles I just don’t like. Perfect for cooking! Just toss in wine ice cubes when making soups, stews, or anything else that just needs a little kick!

And now, check Elementary Chef for another use for those ice cube trays!
